Seasonal Parking From November 1 to April 1

Menomonie runs calendar parking from 2 AM to 7 AM between November 1 and April 1, with cars on the odd or even side by date. Some stretches of Main Street are exempt. The city also limits parking on a street or city lot to under 24 hours.

Downtown Historic District

The Menomonie Downtown Historic District covers about 8 acres around Main Street and Broadway, with buildings from 1883 to 1924. Upper-floor apartments here mean stairs and limited parking near the door. We plan the truck spot before move day.

Lake Menomin and the Red Cedar River

The city sits where Lake Menomin meets the Red Cedar River. Homes near the water can have sloped lots and steps, so tell us about them when you book.

Many UW-Stout families live hours away and arrive on move day with a car full of boxes. Residence halls are grouped into areas such as AFM, CKTO, HKMC and JTC, plus North, South, Red Cedar, Wigen and Fleming Hovlid halls. Check-in runs in 2-hour slots, and each family gets one unloading space.

For off-campus apartments and rented houses, our movers can pick up furniture from a store or a storage unit and have it in the apartment before the student arrives. That keeps move day to unpacking instead of carrying a couch up the stairs.
