Tyler's Story

I bet you are wondering where Dan is and you feel like you have been lied to this whole time. Let me tell you the story. While I was going to school for accounting and business management. I started a misc company doing lawn care, painting and moving. You know the jack of trades, but nothing great at all of them. After learning I couldn’t get insurance for moving, I just stuck to lawn care and snow removal. I stayed with that company for six years. One day in the fall, I had a customer ask if we could move her mother into assistant living. About one month later, same lady asked us to move her son to Minnesota. We even did a fall clean up and put all the leafs in the U-Haul at the end of the day (not ideal lol).

At that time, I asked my insurance agent if I could get insurance for moving and he said I would qualify. I started that company with the name of “The Moving Company” A few months later, that is where Dan The Moving Man came into play. They were located in Eau Claire and I wanted to buy them to grow faster. I decided to drop “The Moving Company” and keep “Dan The Moving Man”

IF anything matters, my middle name is Daniel. Please try not to hack my identity now! At this point, all my customers call me Dan, I might as well change my name to Daniel Tyler.

15 Years of Moving Wisconsin

Dan The Moving Man has been in the moving business for 15 years. From our first office in Eau Claire, we opened a Wausau branch in October 2021, took over a La Crosse location in October 2022 and later bought a moving company in Rhinelander. Today we serve the Chippewa Valley, the Coulee Region, Central Wisconsin and the Northwoods from four offices with a fleet of 9 to 30 trucks. We are registered with the U.S. Department of Transportation under USDOT 3033053.

“Do I love my job? Absolutely. When I come to work, it seems like the day just flies by,” Tyler says. He enjoys the logistics side of moving and makes sure every customer gets a fair price and quality service.
