Hot Tub Moving Across Wisconsin With a Spa Sled

We move hot tubs and spas between homes, cabins and lake properties in Wisconsin. Dan The Moving Man uses a Spa Sled, a piece of equipment built to carry a hot tub, to move the tub from its pad to our truck and into place at the new property.

A hot tub is wide, heavy and hard to grip. It usually sits in a backyard, on a deck or on a patio, so the path to the truck can cross grass, gates, steps and slopes. The Spa Sled gives our movers a stable base to move the tub across that ground.

We move hot tubs as a single job or as part of a full home move. Tell us when you book, and we plan the tub into the move day.

With 15 years in the moving business, a fleet of 9 to 30 trucks and USDOT 3033053 registration, we are set up for any size move. Seniors and military families get 5% off, and customers moving during cancer treatment get 20% off.

Before Your Hot Tub Move

A few jobs need to be done before our movers arrive. Handling them ahead of time keeps the move on schedule.

Drain the Tub

Drain all the water a day or two before the move so the inside dries out. A full or wet tub is far heavier and can leak on the truck.

Disconnect the Power

Have an electrician disconnect the tub from its power supply. Our movers do not do electrical work.

Secure the Cover and Loose Parts

Remove or strap down the cover, steps and any loose accessories.

Check the Path

Look at the route from the tub to the street. Note gates, fences, steps, decks and slopes and tell us about them. Measure the narrowest gate if you can.

Prepare the New Spot

Make sure the new pad or deck is ready and level, and that an electrician can hook up the tub after delivery.

Hot Tub Moves to Cabins and Lake Homes

Northern Wisconsin has more than a thousand lakes in Oneida County alone, and plenty of cabins and lake homes have a hot tub on the deck. Our Rhinelander office handles moves to and from lake properties across the Northwoods, and our other offices cover the Chippewa Valley, the Coulee Region and Central Wisconsin.

Rural and lake roads can have tight turns, gravel drives and seasonal weight limits in spring. Let us know what the road to the property looks like, and we will plan the truck and the timing around it.

Moving a Hot Tub With Your Home

Add the hot tub to your residential move so one company handles everything. Other heavy items like pianos can go on the same booking.

Getting Rid of an Old Hot Tub

Not taking the old tub? Our junk removal service hauls away bulky items, and we recycle or donate whatever we can.

Where We Move Hot Tubs

We move hot tubs in Eau Claire, Altoona and Chippewa Falls, in La Crosse and Onalaska, in Wausau, Weston and Plover and at lake homes and cabins around Rhinelander.

After Your Hot Tub Is Delivered

Once the tub is set on the new pad or deck, have your electrician reconnect the power. Refill the tub, check for leaks around the fittings and balance the water before you use it.
